Okay, I would be not fulfilling my duty as a WAH blogger to
not mention the work at home crafting jobs that are online. I’m currently trying to get in with two companies,
and today, I got confirmation that my sample was finally accepted. That means I will now be paid to create
beautiful jewelry. I will update you on
my progress with this company, but here is my initial evaluation.
Now, this is pretty different from any other the other jobs
that I have posted. This is an
opportunity to work for a company creating jewelry. Creative
Opportunities is the company. They
have a number of projects
to choose from. I’m working on the
stretchy ring, and I think I might get the training package on one of the
others. There is a fee that needs to be
paid to get the materials sent out to you to train which is reimbursed after
you have been accepted and had 12 shipments.
The customer service with this company is wonderful. I took a long break between when I was
working on this project and did not send in any rings, but when I contacted
them, they said go ahead and send it on in.
My 7th try was the winner!
So, this tells me you really have to stick with it. If you are not really into crafts, then this
might not be right for you. The
materials can be sent back within 15 days for a refund or 30 days for project exchange
as long as you did not use any. I did
some have similar materials at home that I did use to practice the rock
wrapping as I’d really hard time with getting it just right, so I didn’t waste
the supplied materials, and could probably be found at a craft store if you
want to try it out before using your supplies.
Make sure you send your submissions using their materials though as they
are good quality, and they would probably notice if you sent just anything in. If you waste your materials before being
accepted, there is a fee to get more.
After 3 tries they do send you another set of materials. My replacement set was missing, and customer
service sent it out right away after a quick email. Also, be aware that the initial shipping will
cost too. I had to purchase stamps to
send this back to them, and include the return shipping stamps. After acceptance, post is reimbursed.
Pros –
- Away from the computer
- Crafty
- Pick your own project
- Work at your own pace
- Great Customer Support
- Reimburse materials fee after 12 shipments
- Reimburse postage after accepted
- Return policy before using materials
Cons –
- Material Fee
- Can be a long process to be accepted
- Not everyone will get the hang of a project
- Finished products can be rejected if not up to quality standards
Overall, I’m very
excited that I was finally accepted. I
was doing this more for fun than anything else, but now that I’ve been accepted
I’m looking forward to seeing how this journey takes me. I’ve loved working with this company so far,
and I will keep up, my dearest reader, updated on things like payments and so
on. This is not something for everyone,
but I’m excited to have a job that doesn’t have me sitting in front of the
computer.
Okay, that's just over the moon cool. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trista. I sure think so. I'll be sure to let everyone know how well it goes with being paid and all that fun stuff. Thanks for reading my post and commenting!
