Clickworker
is a company that I signed up with a while ago, and have had some success
with. There are a variety of task types
available to work on, such as writing, editing, verifying business information
and more. This is similar in some ways
to mTurks. The way it works is that you log into your account,
and any available work will show on the home page. There are assessments that can be taken to
show your skill in a particular field, such as your grasp of English or other
languages. The more assessments you
pass, the more categories of work will be available to you. Some of the assessments will let you retake
it after a certain time period if you fail the first time around. Each task will note how much they are work
upon completion and give how long you have to complete it in. Work that does not follow instructions or is
below quality can be rejected, but there may be an opportunity to fix your
mistakes to still receive the payment depending on the task. To my international WAHers, this is available
internationally as long as you have a bank account located in a Single Euro
Payments Area. Like many WAH
opportunities, you will not be an employee.
If you chose to be paid by PayPal, you are paid weekly with a minimum
threshold of $1 or 1 Euro (they are very timely with payments), and if you are
paid to a SEPA bank account monthly when you have a minimum amount of 10 Euros
in your account. They also have a
referral program, so sign up and invite your friends.
Pros
–
- Easy sign up
- Pays by PayPal (or SEPA international accounts)
- Low minimum pay threshold at $1.00 for PayPal
- Pick and choose what work you want to do
- Work other WAH jobs, too
- No minimum or maximum hour commitment required
- No schedule
Cons
–
- Some task may be low paying
- Requires tests to qualify work
- Possible rejection from tasks
- No guarantee for available work
Overall,
I think that this is a worthwhile opportunity, especially for those just
starting out with WAH. The low payment
threshold and weekly PayPal payments are always good to have when first
starting.
