Yesterday, I mentioned that a great way to work on your
writing skills would be to post comments.
Believe it or not, you can get paid for doing this through a service
called Postloop. Basically, this service brings people willing
to create comments together with bloggers and forum owners. The bloggers and forum owners want people to
comment on their posts and in their forums.
This helps their website traffic, and can spark some great
conversations. Sometimes, it can be hard
to get people to notice your content without comments, and to get comments, you
have to have people notice your content.
That is where this website comes in.
Simply put, bloggers and forum owners can purchase points that they give
to Postloopers that comment on their blog or forum. These points can then be cashed out through
PayPal when you hit $5.00 worth of points.
Now, these have to be great comments that start or add to the
conversation. Postloop’s FAQ
mentions that a comment is worth about 8 cents give or take. Applying is rather simple as you just have to
prove you have what it takes to be a Postlooper by posting ten comments to the
Postloop forum. These comments are then
evaluated, and you pass or fail. It does
say that there is a chance you can do some additional comments in case you
fail, but not in all cases.
Pros:
- Practice writing skills!
- Pick the types of posts you want
- Pays with PayPal
- Small payout threshold of $5.00
- No limit on amount of points you can earn
- No set schedule – work when you want
Cons:
- Attention to detail and following instructions important
- Small pay amount per post
- No guarantee the number of blogs you can post on
- Average and above rating needed to cash out
Overall, I like Postloop. I think it’s a great company to work for to
make some extra money. It might not be
enough to pay your bills (unless you are a super-poster), but this can
certainly help you pay for a date night or whatnot along with improving your
writing skills.
