It’s been a long couple of weeks full of highs, like finding
out another article has been approved by an editor to lows, like getting
rejections for my work. I’ve got an
exciting week of posts all ready for readers, starting today with a phone
customer service job.
Today’s post is one that could be filled soon, so if you
think this might be something for you, check it out sooner rather than later. If it does get closed, they offer links on
the page to similar job openings that you may be able to check out. This one is through KellyConnect,
which is related to Kelly Services. Yes,
that Kelly Services temporary agency.
Even these type of employment agencies and their clients are coming to
realize that there are a lot of benefits from employing a home workforce rather
than having a large office for workers.
Today’s job is for a Tier 1 Advisor – Customer Service Representative where
you will be helping to assist clients with their computers and other electronic
devices. This is probably a good job for
you if you are the type of person that family usually calls upon when they have
a technology issue or question. This is
probably not a good fit if you are the person that finds themselves calling on
family and friends for tech help. This
is a full time position, and will require a background check and screening. There is a full list provided of tasks you
should be aware of how to perform on the website. The company does mention that they provide
equipment, which is usually pretty rare in this type of position, and training
to the right person. Also, this does
mention that there are some “light sales opportunities” involved in this
position.
Pros-
- Full-time employment
- Equipment provided
- “Light Sales”
- Helping others
Cons-
- Few details on payment, actual employment status (temp versus independent contractor versus employee), scheduling and so on
- Knowledge of technology necessary
- “Light Sales”
Overall,
this position sounds highly intriguing to me for the fact that they mention
competitive pay rates and equipment being provided, but I don’t know if I would
be the type of person who would do great at this type of job. Examine your personality to decide if you
think that this might be a good fit for you.
I’d love to hear from anyone that applies or currently works in this
position.
Greetings!
