Welcome to Why I WAH

When I was thinking of an appropriate name for my blog, I decided on Why I WAH for the simple reason that I'm not only trying to be successful at working from home, but I want to help others do the same. It is not always easy to work from home no matter what anyone says. You have to have the drive and dedication to getting the job finished. Many times you will not have a boss breathing down your neck to finish an assignment. So, you also have to think about why you want to WAH, as well, and hold that close to give you the perseverance to work at it.

Some Fun Stuff

I’m sorry to any readers I might have for not posting on my normal Sunday through Thursday schedule.  With every pregnancy comes the hassle of lots of tests.  I had failed my 1 hour glucose test and had to schedule a 3 hour glucose test.  I was extremely worried because I had several of the risk factors, such as having a family history of diabetes, being over 25 and overweight before I got pregnant.  Well, I followed the diet to a T and took the test.  It is no fun at all.  I had to fast for 12 hours (no more or less because that can affect your blood sugar levels).  Then, I got to go to the hospital and get blood drawn for my fasting level.  Then they give you this sickeningly sweet drink that has even more sugar than the 1 hour test dose which you have five minutes to drink, and after that every hour for the next three hours they draw more blood.  Of course, that is as long as you didn’t throw up the glucola drink.  Depending on when you throw up they may or may not have to reschedule you.  I got through it all without being sick.  Came close a few times, but I made it through with just being a little woozy.  Found out I passed.  So, no worries about gestational diabetes!  Yeah!  Basically it boils down to you really should be careful what you eat before your 1 hour test and try not to be too nervous about it.  I didn’t eat for about 15 hours before mine and that is probably why I failed by 7 points, plus I had a lot of bad stuff the day before.  However, this does goes to show you that is the one great thing about working from home, being able to schedule things that need to be done and having some down time to worry.  Now, to my readers here are some fun things that you can do online to save money or even make a little money with.

Groupon – I love Groupon.com!  I do not buy the deal every day, but I always read the email in case it is something I want to take advantage of.  I’ve gotten some great deals through them, from 3 Redbox rentals for $1.00 to a very discounted Natural History Museum membership.  Many times I take advantage of the ones that I know my family will love (such as visiting the dino bones for free as often as a three year old dino lover wants).  Here is my referral link in case you want to give me some credit for putting you on the path of saving money while having fun - http://www.groupon.com/r/uu7387676.

Moola – This is a fun little website.  The way it works is you play games or complete sponsor offers and get m$ or Moola for it.  The games are pretty unique as most online game websites do not have them.  For instance, one is a type of rock, paper, scissors.  The fun thing is this is Moola you can actually request to go to your PayPal account ($5.00 fee) or a check ($10.00 fee).  Now the fees aren’t the greatest, but it is free money that you have won or completed offers for.  The lowest amount you can request is $10.00 and that is every 30 days.  If you are interested in trying out Moola click on my link for an invite - Moola.com and email me that you signed up.  I will gift the first ten people that email me some m$ to get you started as long as successfully used my invite.

UPDATE - I've just heard that Moola has a trojan.  I haven't actually played a game in a little while so I tried it myself.  Yes, my hardworking McAfee picked up on it as well.  After it cleared it the game matching never loaded for me.  Sad that something so much fun has to be corrupted by something like this.  Here is something fun for animal lovers to make up for this.

Both of these websites offer the cutest pics of animals and baby animals.  You can even sign up for their daily emails to get a dose of happiness in your inbox.

That’s all I have for you today!  Tomorrow I will go back to my normal WAH opportunities posting with an actual mystery shopping program.  Thanks for reading!
