Welcome to Why I WAH

When I was thinking of an appropriate name for my blog, I decided on Why I WAH for the simple reason that I'm not only trying to be successful at working from home, but I want to help others do the same. It is not always easy to work from home no matter what anyone says. You have to have the drive and dedication to getting the job finished. Many times you will not have a boss breathing down your neck to finish an assignment. So, you also have to think about why you want to WAH, as well, and hold that close to give you the perseverance to work at it.

Jury Test

In honor of my husband getting called in for jury duty this week I decided to go with a WAH opportunity that allows you to be paid to be an online juror. Jurytest.com is a website that you can sign up for to be considered for a mock jury trial in your area. Lawyers use this to help them plan on how to best defend their client. Basically you enter your information and if a case is available in your area you will get an email letting you know to sign in. You go over the information provided to you and answer questions based on what you read if you decide to work on the case. The whole process can take about 20 to 50 minutes depending on the case itself. Then you get paid for it. When they provide you with the case information they will let you know how much payment will be, anywhere from $5 to $50. They pay by check or PayPal within about 7 days of you completing the case. I have been signed up for a while, but no cases have been available in my area when I'm available to have time to look them over. This is not something that you can make a lot of money, but can be interesting if you are interested in watching legal shows.

Pros –

  • Free to sign up
  • Multiple payment methods
  • You decide if you want a case or not
  • No schedule necessary

Cons –

  • Not always busy

Give this a try if you find the concept interesting. Depending on your area you may be able to participate more than I have been able to.
