InboxDollars.com is a free service that you can sign up for where you are paid to read email. Now, this is not actually a WAH opportunity like the others I have been discussing in my blog, but I wanted to let you know about this in case of interest as I have been paid several times over the years that I have been a member of Inbox Dollars. For those like me every little bit can help and it never failed that I got a check in the mail when I really could use it. This is not something that is going to make you a ton of money, unless you are the type of person that does a lot of shopping online. Then it might be significantly more than what I have been making from it.
Basically, there are a few different ways to earn money from Inbox Dollars. The main way that I earn my money is just by reading emails. They pay $.02 cents an email and in most cases all you have to do is click on a link or two to get it. I get a few emails a day on average where I just click, take a look, and close the windows because it is not something I'm interested in. It only takes a few moments an email. Now, some of the emails are sales pitches and if you purchase or sign up for whatever is featured then you will earn money on top of your $.02. For the most part I do not buy anything or sign up for services. The few that I have taken advantage of are things like buying an entertain book of coupons, signing up for book clubs or free services. Depending on how much you spend is usually what determines the amount they pay out. For instance, I believe signing up for a book club will add $10.00 to your account on top of your $.02 email reading amount. If there is an offer you have been thinking of signing up for you can always check the website to see if there is a reward for it. That way you can order it and get money in your Inbox Dollar account as well. For instance, if you were thinking of purchasing something you saw on an As Seen on TV commercial you might be able to find that offer on the website.
Another way to earn money through this website is by taking advantage of the survey opportunities. I do take the time to do the surveys depending on the day. Now, you don't always qualify for a survey, but they can add up. A completed survey is worth $.50 each. There is a section for surveys on the website and you can get emails for survey opportunities in your email as well. Shopping through Inbox Dollars will help you to earn money as well. Check the website to see if any of the stores you like to shop for are listed. If you click the store link through your Inbox Dollars account you will money back after your order. There is also a coupon section that you can use to print out coupons to use at the store and get $.10 per coupon used. The last way that I want to point out is that there are tasks similar to yesterday's post about Amazon's Mechanical Turk program. Just click on the task link on the Inbox Dollars website and look to see if there are any that appeal to you.
Once your account reaches a threshold amount of $30.00 you are able to request a payment. They only pay by check and they put a hold on the payment for a set amount of time for the first check. You have to keep your account open and active while waiting for them to process your check. However, after this first check the amount of time for processing drops.
